Michael Rosefeldt, Partner
Mr. Rosefeldt holds various roles include overseeing budgeting, pro forma creation, financial tracking & reporting, investor & lender communication, equity and debt requests, and reporting to the principals, among other functions. Prior to his current ventures, Mr. Rosefeldt was a Senior Investment Analyst of Silverang Hallowell Development Company. His expansive real estate industry knowledge and analytical skills were primarily focused on providing property and financial analysis and helping to structure project debt and equity financing. Prior to joining Silverang Hallowell, Mr. Rosefeldt served as Due Diligence Analyst at DeSanto Realty Group where he was responsible for assessing investment opportunities and providing financial analysis for a growing portfolio of tenant-in-common properties. Prior to that, Mr. Rosefeldt was an analyst with O’Neill Properties Group, a regional Northeast real estate developer. Mr. Rosefeldt graduated, cum laude, from St. Joseph’s University with a dual B.S. Degree in Finance and Management Information Systems. Mr. Rosefeldt has been working with Mr. Bishop since 2012.
Shawn M. Bishop, Partner
Mr. Bishop specializes in development, real estate acquisition, lease negotiations, ground up business development and growth. He was the previous owner of a residential and commercial construction company. In addition, he has a background in finance from St. Joseph’s University. Mr. Bishop owned and operated a multimillion-dollar private real estate fund in his 20s. His real estate experience and financial knowledge will ensure accurate projections. For the last nine years Mr. Bishop has built and operated one of the largest and most profitable privately held Planet Fitness franchises based out of Southern California. His experience provides significant benefit through evaluating prime real estate locations, identifying strong business models, and most importantly competent operators and sponsors.
Mark Beaver, Partner
Mr. Beaver has worked extensively with Messrs. Bishop and Rosefeldt on numerous transactions over the last 6 years. He brings extensive transactional knowledge to the team as well as an understanding of market terms of private investment transactions. In addition to being a partner in Independence Funds, Mr. Beaver is a founding partner in Gabell Beaver (“GB”). GB was formed with the goal of providing sophisticated legal services to individuals and businesses on a more cost effective basis. Mr. Beaver began his career with the largest firm in Delaware – Richards, Layton & Finger LLP – providing corporate and business advice to companies located around the world. After several years practicing in Delaware, Mr. Beaver moved to his hometown of Philadelphia to join the law firm of Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg LLP, where he gained substantial experience with M&A transactions, private investment offerings and private investment fund formation. Mr. Beaver concentrates his practice in the representation of private investment funds and privately held companies in connection with a wide variety of complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt offerings, fund formation, venture capital transactions, joint ventures and similar transactions. He received a JD from Villanova University and received his B.A. in Economics and Finance from Bucknell University.
William Flick III, Associate
Will is responsible for generating new investment opportunities, processing investor documentation, identifying potential investors, and providing progress reports for different deals. In addition, he has a background in finance and real estate from Lehigh University. During his time at Lehigh, he was part of the Real Estate Club, an active member of Chi Psi fraternity, where he served as intramural and philanthropy chair and tutored children K-5 at the Nativity Church in Bethlehem during his free time. He has also interned at DeSanto Realty Group as a property research analyst, and Concentus Wealth Advisors as a client research analyst.
Zachary Monzo, Associate
Zach is responsible for the underwriting of potential deals for the team as well as maintaining communication with investors and sponsors. He handles all reviewing of financial statements, projection models, and all other relevant financial and non-financial data to develop a concise and focused analytical foundation for a deal decision. He prepares thorough credit underwriting to identify industry concerns, market share trends, financial trends, and other pertinent underwriting issues to present for deal approval. Zach brings his experience from his time at 44 Business Capital, a top small business financier serving businesses nationwide, where he served as VP Commercial Credit Officer. There, Zach was responsible for performing financial analysis and preparing underwriting reports to support and make recommendations for complex multimillion-dollar commercial credit requests for business acquisitions, commercial real estate transactions, corporate debt refinances, and startup business financing while maintaining personal loan approval authority up to $1 million. He had involvement in recommending capital structure and accumulating all data necessary to perform a focused analysis while ensuring compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies and procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by his duties. Zach is a graduate of McDaniel College where he studied business administration and economics.
